Film self-adhesive material is a polymer, and its surface
is not absorbent to printing ink. The surface energy of film self-adhesive
material is low, and it must be pretreated before printing to meet the
requirements of wetting and leveling of printing ink, otherwise there will be
problems such as poor ink adhesion fastness. In addition to the drying problem,
the surface of the free electrons on the film self-adhesive material is very
unstable because the film self-adhesive material is polymer. In a dry
environment, friction will generate a lot of static electricity on the film
self-adhesive material surface. And static electricity will affect the printing
effect of the film adhesive material. The effective way to control static
electricity is to increase the corresponding configuration on the equipment like
corona treatment when printing film self-adhesive material. Otherwise, the
quality of printed products cannot be guaranteed. In addition, the film
self-adhesive material is sensitive to temperature changes. Film material will
be deformed when exposed to the heat. Some factors, such as the drying (curing)
temperature, printing speed, film thickness and tension settings in the
printing process, should be considered.
