Paper with burrs is a common problem when
using paper slitter. The width of paper material rolls will generally be 3-5mm
greater than the size marked on it, and only special conditions will jump out
of this range. If the paper width is 1180mm, we adjust the knife for 1185mm. However,
if the width of paper material rolls is larger than 1185mm and slitting knife
still adjustment to 1185mm, the side end of the paper web will appear burrs.
Too large inner diameter of the paper core
is another factor for paper slitting effect with burrs. If the inner diameter
of the paper core is too large, the paper core cannot be locked after the air
shaft expands, thus causing the core to slide when rotating and causing
deflection. You’d better check the inner diameter of the core when inserting it
onto the air shaft.
